Teaching

Sarah has been honored to share knowledge with a wide range of audience members. She has led foraging hikes for children and adults. She was a regular guest Instructor at the Vanguard Academy for high school students, leading plant identification walks focused on Native Ecology.

She has presented at a local “Ted” inspired event on the important role of Native plants, has taught on native plants for natural beauty at a local herbalist gathering, and has spoken on Women’s Natural health at a local homesteading conference.

She has been an instructor at Go Wyld, a women’s outdoor retreat for 3 years leading tea ceremonies, plant identification hikes, hands on herbal medicine making, and more. She also coordinates events for Wildherness in North Carolina.
